Australia Only
All dogs and cats traveling to Australia are required to be micro-chipped.
There are several things useful to understand for anyone looking for pet transportation to move their dogs to Australia:
- We will need from the owner proof of New Zealand residency of their dog, i.e. yearly vet/vaccine records since puppies (maximum 12 weeks of age) or yearly council registration docs since puppies, or a combination of both.
- If neither of these are available then bloods for E.Canis and Leishmania will be required. (Recommended having taken 3 weeks before travel)
- If originally imported from Australia then we will require proof of entry into NZ, i.e. the Biosecurity clearance document from their arrival and then yearly proof of residency since then.
United Kingdom
Cats and dogs travelling to the UK and Ireland must be micro-chipped and be vaccinated for Rabies at least 21 days before entering the UK (new regulations from 1 Jan 2012).
For travel to most of Europe a Rabies vaccination is required at least 21 days before the flight. The Rabies vaccination must be administered AFTER the animal has been micro-chipped.
